As we are getting closer to the Early Access launch of World of Myths, we are proud to announce that Rebellious – the studio behind the game – has successfully raised €250k in seed funds.
At Rebellious, we have always wanted to create games that make you think while having fun with your friends. With time and some experimental projects, we managed to narrow our purpose of existence while keeping the initial spark alive. We create competitive games that oppose communities based on their real-life interests and hobbies. If you love Greek mythology we will give you the battlefield to compete against anyone who loves Norse or Japanese or any other mythology. In another game of ours, if you like cats we will give you an arena to prove all dog lovers that cats are superior. If you like heavy metal you can show all hip-hop fans which music style really “rocks”.
The people who believed in our vision and decided to support us at this stage are Eleven Ventures and the angel investors Vassil Terziev, Svetozar Georgiev (both co-founders of Telerik, acquired by Progress, founders of Telerik Academy and CampusX) and Radi Atanassov (OneBit Software)
I am a player. What does this mean to me?
It simply means that World of Myths is here to stay. The development of the game won’t stop any time soon. We will now be able to grow our team and deliver content and new features faster and with higher quality. We are already hard at work on some amazing features like the Living Story Mode and Battle Royale mode (yeah, we couldn’t hold back). Battle Royale CCG – how does this work? Well, you will have to wait a little bit more and see for yourself. We are also working on the 5 new mythologies – MesoAmerican, Egyptian, Chinese, African, and Slavic; new leaders, improved visual effects, sounds. We simply can’t wait to share all of those with you when the time is right. And it is getting closer.
Gods Awaken
To celebrate the great news we are hosting a second tournament – “Gods Awaken” in Sofia, Bulgaria on the 2nd March. Anyone interested can use the sign-up form. This time we will have more players (to a limit) than our first tournament, larger prizes, and more fun. Anyone who gets an invitation for the tournament will be granted access to the game and will be able to enjoy our 6 new leaders, 90 new cards and some other hidden gems.
When can I play?
We are sending Steam keys for the game on regular basis. We plan to grant all our subscribers access by the end of March so make sure to sign-up on our website. The official open Early Access is planned for the first weeks of May.
